Woltemade: Bayern still watching, what it means for Juventus fantasy managers

Loaned to Juventus until June, Nick Woltemade is still a hot name on the German market, where Bayern Munich's interest has never really cooled off. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Bavarians have been watching the German striker since they tried to sign him in 2025: the club traditionally targets national-team players, and they see Woltemade as an idea for life after Kane, even if Kompany's real priority would still be Haaland.

The striker, born in 2002, arrived in Italy last summer after a lightning-fast deal: he turned down other offers to answer Massara and Carnevali's call, and a phone conversation with Spalletti proved decisive in his choice. Newcastle, who had paid Stuttgart around 80 million euros plus bonuses for him just over a year ago, agreed only to a straight loan: an asking price considered too high by every interested club, Borussia Dortmund included, ruled out any other formula. The English club is now focused on recouping its investment, which means Woltemade's future beyond this season is still wide open.

Tuttosport lists the German among seven players in Spalletti's squad whose future at Juventus, between loans and expiring contracts, is not yet settled: to stay, he will need to earn his place on the pitch between now and June. Claudio Marchisio is also cautious about his form, rejecting the comparison with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in comments to Calciomercato.com: «Ibra is Ibra. Woltemade has technique and physicality, but he looks light».

What this means for fantasy managers. On our price list Woltemade is valued at 11 credits, in a bracket where a good rating is worth one extra point: his price has already dropped a point since the start of the season, with the latest drop coming after matchday two, a sign his impact has fallen short so far. In the same role at Juventus he shares minutes with Kolo Muani, priced much higher at 24, and Yildiz at 20: anyone who picked him up betting on a starting role now has to reckon with a pecking order that currently leaves him behind. The good news is a January move looks unlikely, given the straight-loan deal tying Juventus to Newcastle until June: for anyone fielding him, the issue is playing time, not the transfer market.

Everything, it should be said, still depends on how Woltemade performs on the pitch: until his league numbers change, the talk of Bayern and a post-Juventus future remains speculation rather than concrete negotiations.
